Mori Welborn lives in Cordova, TN and at the time of this post, Jan '09, was 41 years old. First of all, Mori will come onto you, especially if you are a man, to gain your trust. She will later use this trust against you... to destroy you. I have two cases in point.
The first person Mori destroyed we will call Mrs. X. Mrs. X, a very attractive woman in her 40's lost her husband in the service of the city of Memphis as a fire fighter. He died in the line of duty fighting a fire at local department store in the middle of the night when the roof collapses under him sending him into a fiery inferno costing this brave man his life.
Mori began spreading rumors at church that Mrs. X was depressed and taking pills to fight depression. Mori even went so far as to tell the members of this church that Mrs. X had attempted suicide (that could not have been farther from the truth). Mori caused so much havoc in Mrs. X's life that Mrs. X had to find another church as she was being shunned by her friends- the ones Mori had turned against her.
Now let's go to another person I know. There is a man whom Mori befriended through a travel company YTB and Mori had known for several years. After this man spent many hours coaching, encouraging and helping Mori well beyond the call of duty, and even encouraged Mori when she was ready to quit, she turned against him for no reason. She dogged this poor man to death until she lied to people in her organization and got them to lie to the company, YTB, just to get Mori to shut up. As a result, this man who had helped Mori so much, encouraged her was terminated from YTB without cause. In short, Mori lied to YTB to destroy this man's business, his sole income for himself, and the two years he had spend building his travel organization. This is how Mori G. Welborn does business. Stay away from Mori G. Welborn of COTTON RIDGE COVE / CORDOVA, TN.
Mori is now engaged in a greeting card business, as YTB is not doing so well.
It should also be noted that Mori G. Welborn will drive you crazy with phone calls. Mori had harassed so many people in her YTB organization that several of them had to change their phone number to keep her from contacting them. She also told one of the people in the YTB organization that she would help him. He is a young man of his 20's and his father is dying of cancer. Mori helped him all right- any prospect he brought her, she enrolled him UNDER HER, NOT UNDER THE PERSON WHO HAD BROUGHT HER TO HIM. RICK "THE DRUNK" RICKETTS COMES TO MEMPHIS
RICK "THE DRUNK" RICKETTS COMES TO MEMPHIS
Rick Ricketts, of YTB, is a second-generation drunk. His daddy was a drunk and killed several people one night in a car wreck. Rick has not fallen too far from the same distillery. He is arrogant and only is concerned about himself and how much money he makes. He never uses the money for any good to help others but instead talks bout all the jet skis, watches, planes, and house he has bought for himself. If you have ever wanted to get nauseous about how wonderful someone thinks he is... it is Rick ad-nausem- Ricketts. Now, I was in Memphis, TN for a YTB training last spring when Rick Ricketts came to town for a CRTA training. (CRTA stands for Certified Referring Travel Agent). The CRTA School is a mini-school in which YTB agents are given just enough info (for $200) to make them dangerous. When they leave this little 6 hours school the YTB rep thinks they know all there is about travel... in fact, they do not know enough to fill a thimble.
Like I stated earlier, Rick Ricketts was in town for this "training." He spent very little time in the actual training room but instead spent much of his time in the lobby at the bar in this Hilton getting inebriated (DRUNK). When it was Rick's time to speak, he was incoherent and was unable to continue. He then got off the subject of training and began to ramble about how his father was a drunk and had killed six people in a car accident several years earlier. THIS WAS SO FAR OFF TRACK IT WAS NOT FUNNY. OVER TWO HUNDRED PEOPLE IN THE ROOM WE IN DISBELIEF OF THIS PERSON'S RAMBLINGS. This sidebar had nothing to do with the training at hand.
Rick returned back to the bar in the lobby of the hotel after he spoke. When the training was over, one of the trainers and a directly sponsored downline member to Rick, Denson Taylor, was introducing Rick to yet another person in Rick's organization. When Rick turned and asked this person what he had done prior to YTB, this person responded by saying he had worked for the IRS for 35 years as an examiner/auditor. Rick literally fell off his bar stool onto the floor trying to get away form the former IRS agent. IT WAS HYSTERICAL!!!! Ricketts NEVER came abck tot talk to the man but iinstead, exited the lobby quickly.
IF YOU EVER ARE INTRODUCED TO RICK RICKETTS AS A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY- RUN TO THE NEAREST EXIT, DON'T WALK. Before you consider joining the self proclaimed wonderful travel agency, YTB (Your Travel Business), consider the following.
YTB has been embattled in several states for being a card mill Travel Agency. In other words, they issue travel agent cards for discounted travel with little or no training. All one has to do is shell out $495.oo US and then $49.95 a month and that puts you in the discounted travel business. The problem here is that the Attorneys Generals in the states of California and now in the home state of YTB, Illinois, have filed lawsuits for being a card mill.
YTB realizing that they may probably will not survive the lawsuits is taking its emphasis off of travel and are now selling meats, streaks an chicken in a mail order form. They are attempting to get into the network marketing company, Menage's, territory. Who wants to risk getting steaks and meats wholesale that may have thawed enroute.
Scott Tomer, CEO of YTB Travel is nothing short of an idiot. He has not the background to run such a company as YTB. He has made very stupid moves such as splitting the stock in the summer of 2007 that caused the stock to fall from over $7 a share to just around 21¢ now (Jan. 09). Stock has fallen sharply (from $1 a share) in September to the 21¢ a share now.
When you have greedy people like RICK Ricketts stealing propects from his IMMEDIATE down line, it is no wonder that YTB is on the endangered species list. Let's talk about RICK who is protected by YTB even though he violates the ethical code of YTB.

When Rick approached this propect at a local restaurant in Clearwater, FL, Rick's hometown, and told this prospect that he needed to know about YTB, the prospect stated he was already working iwht a neighbor and friend out of state who had just joined YTB. rick asked him who he would rather be working with, HIM- a person making $40,000 a month or with someone who was just starting out. THE PROPSECT WAS ENTICED BY RICK'S CLAIM TO MONEY... and promise that RICK WOULD WORK WITH HIM DIRECTLY!
Well, Rick placed this prospect NOT DIRECTLY under him but under one of Rick's family members, several hundreds of levels deep so his (RICK'S SON) could benefit.
